Hafia Secondary School has no rubbish containers and when school is functioning, there is always a lot of rubbish on the floor, especially plastic from water bags. Our aim was to:
a) Provide rubbish bins
b) To educate everyone (students, teachers and the community)
c) To collect the rubbish from the bins and take it to the nearest rubbish pick up point
The impact of this was 1912 students, 107 teachers and management at Hafia School to be more motivated to come to school and study in a cleaner environment. The painting of rubbish bins in several languages will also value local languages. This was a group project where everyone worked together to improve the school and health of all will improve with less rubbish and education to dispose of rubbish correctly.
